3.1.1 Martial Page Rework, Color profiles, and lots more!

“Sera, why are you updating the app when the playtest changes are live now and not including them yet?!”

I had a big update that got delayed. I avoid releasing app updates *before* the official document is posted on Amtgard, either. So, I’m pushing this one now, and then will be working as fast as possible once the official rules document is live to update! If you find any bugs or issues let me know! A lot is new here! There may be some things for me to fix alongside the rules update!

This update also finally removes V8.5.3 class lists. Because of other changes, it’s become too much work to keep the past version. Going forwards, especially as it’s been repeatedly clarified that the *only* version of Amtgard you may play under kingdom contracts is the current version–which means the playtest–I’ll be supporting the latest version only. (Dor X is staying for a bit longer, until Dor XI is “finished!”)

No-AI statement on settings/about page.

  • There’s been a lot of chat on this topic lately, and I’d like to make my personal stance *very* clear. Gen-AI has not been and never will be used for any part of this project. All art and code was created and written by me, Sera, a human demon. No “vibes,” no art theft, I made this.

Martial Class page rework!

The martial class pages were inconsistent because of classes like Assassin and Scout with options at certain levels, Archer having many options, and different Look the Part abilities.

  • Consistent design across all classes, with new in-line ability selection for Look the Part and choice levels that’s similar to how Archer already worked.
  • Saves your choices! And view Martial Classes by levels, and save that, too!
  • You can now also open Martial Class lists as an Ability Tracker mode similar to the Magic User view mode! I’ve been flattered to see it get used on-field by Magic Users and I want Martial to have that option, too!

“Who gets this ability” class box in tooltips

  • New color-coded box in the upper left shows which classes get the thing you’re looking at.
  • The two-letter abbreviations used are based on the more syllable-based system developed by Arrakis, because I find the RoP ones unintuitive (it took me like a year into my Amtgard career to memorize “Bn” as “barbarian”). I may add a toggle later to swap it to RoP if you prefer!

More color customization!

  • Theme profile slots! I like using the minimalist light mode on the field, but prefer colorful at home. Now, you can easily go back to your previously used settings with one of three save slots. Profiles are automatically saved as you use them.
  • You can now also theme buttons to any color you desire, rather than just dark and light! This took a little math to figure out dynamically creating the themes so the button stays interactive when you click or hover it <:PI_wipesweat:716049769193144471>

Pride Easter Egg!

  • …okay yes I missed Pride month update, but, I was traveling and visiting my girlfriend, so like, <:progress_flag:1387910379627085896>
  • Last year’s pride easter egg was from mashing the “copy” button in any tooltip. This year I’ve gone a bit bold-er!
