2.4.0 – Player Inventory, Magical Items, and Custom Notes!

This release is a big one. No digital tool is as flexible as a piece of paper and a pencil, but this release brings my tome much closer <3 - New major feature: Player inventory and custom notes! Find it by double-tapping the potion icon, or pressing it and then the big blue button at the top of the resource tab. This is both magical item support, and notes. Entries in your inventory can be "activated"/equipped and will be added to all lists in the app (martial classes and magic users, and monsters). This supports both standard rules of play…

2.3.2 – Dor XI Interactable Monster pages!

Thank you Dor XI team for having remarkably consistent formatting in your document. Makes managing these monsters much easier! Almost every Dor XI monster now has an interactable, learning-friendly page where you can click on each and every ability and modifier to them to learn what they do! Same style as the Martial class pages, you can also toggle Incantations and export the list to clipboard. Everything that doesn't have variants (Beast, Elementals, Giants, etc) or Pick From's (Centaur) has an interactable page now. There may be bugs, this is pretty experimental implementation. Let me know if you find any…

2.3.1–Minimalist High Contrast Dark/Light mode, and highlighting another feature…

- Druid Word of Mending shouldn't have a max. Fixed. Also, highlighting two new features I forgot to document that were in the last couple releases! This project aims to capture the colorful passion of Amtgard and feel fun to use--there's other projects that pursue minimalism, but I like design with character. But, I know some people need minimalist contrast. So I added a "flat button" mode for spell buttons, and just now, two high contrast settings for Dark and Light. This gives it a much more traditional pen-and-paper look. See the screenshots! Easter egg added to explain in-universe/in-character why…

2.3.0 – Dor Un Avathar support 1.0 – Are you ready for the monster, monster

Help, Gumi is stuck in my head after hours of compiling monsters https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HNIypYrVlkA Preliminary support for Dor Un Avathar X (https://www.amtgard.com/documents), as well as the Dor Un Avathar XI proposal! https://docs.google.com/document/d/1XlWQPA6gS1sUH8GryWV4EBegfjEgOW---XQwzH6Ox8E/edit?usp=sharing This is a new main tab. It'd feel cluttered in the spell book tab, and it's too significant to hide in the resource tab. Threw together a monster eye-con, it may be temporary or tweaked. Both Dor X and Dor XI are currently implemented similarly to the spell book tab, with a big list you can search and click to pop-up entries. Abilities and informative rules are categorized by…

2.2.0 – Updated for Sappy 4, and more!

Released last night--another more monstrous update is on the way soon <3 Sappy 8.6.4 changes implemented! Find Heron's guide to the update here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1FRgsolJjbkqaxmk72n5oAD9NX7WUKVIUa3g5je_nrmY/edit?tab=t.jgtb3vn4ntgn It's not relevant for this release that didn't have magic user changes, but important note: When you load an old version list when the version has changed, saving it will update it to the new version. This is intended. It loads as well as it can so if changes happened it won't make an invalid list, but may have spell points left to spend. For example, if the price of something increased it'll try to buy…

2.1.1 -Spell Targeting Target Practice Tool!

Outside of battlegames you can practice throwing, shooting arrows, sword fighting, strength training... it's hard to practice targeting and casting verbal magic. Quickly identifying a class and clothing color and the like is a key skill to develop in Amtgard for just about every class in the game! Added Spell Targeting Practice tool in the Reference menu (potion icon)! (Targeting Target Practice? Target Targeting Practice?) Automatically generates a random stick figure with different color clothing, equipment, and class sash. Paladin and Anti-Paladin sashes sparkle for added clarity of their metallic color. Equipment has some logic behind it. It's not comprehensive…

2.1.0 – Lots and lots of font customization!

Settings page now has a new tab, "Font," next to the Color Customization tab. The app now supports 4 different font options, including the original Fenix font. Fenix, Roboto, Atkinson Hyperlegible, and Comic Relief (An open version of comic sans--comic sans is a remarkably reading friendly font, don't knock it). You can now change font outline from the current 30 all the way to 0 (none) or 50 (absurdly large outlines lol). In Settings on the settings page, you can now enable two different options to remove color coding on the martial class list page, or to remove all extra…

2.0.1 – Small clarification tweaks

A couple small tweaks to meta-magic regarding martial classes, when the meta-magic is baseline to the version of the spell they get. Warrior's Ancestral Armor is now named "Ancestral Armor (Swift)" and the incantation is listed as only the last line (as the Ancestral Armor that warriors get is always swift). This is a lot clearer and more intuitive. This is the change that justified making this a 0.0.1 release rather than a revision branch release, because I had this reported as an error. It turned out the Swift tag was in the depreciated  "official" version, but missing from the…

2.0.0 – Out of beta

Also see: https://spellboundtome.com/out-of-beta/ New app icon! Bug fix for Ranger-Summoner druids, where lists could load incomplete. Fixed by adding feature basically--now it will still automatically buy all equipment when you take Ranger, but if you remove equipment, it will not re-take the equipment when you re-open the build (so if you don't want a shield cluttering your build you don't use one, or don't want weapons on your Bow Ranger build, just untick them) Text fix for Corruptor Anti-Paladin's calculator/list, which would attribute the no great weapon restriction to Infernal instead of Corruptor.

1.6.2

Healer Adaptive Protection was listed as Charge x3 (probably copied accidentally from it's next door neighbor, Astral Intervention). Fixed. In settings on Android, the wording of the setting to opt into smaller revision updates has been changed a bit. To expound a bit on that setting again--the x.y.z updates like this 1.6.2 are mainline, and released as R0. When a very small change is made, I make that R1, and so on. The settings is to opt into those updates, that usually are very small changes or fixes that I don't feel deserve being pushed as a main notification one.…
