2.4.0 – Player Inventory, Magical Items, and Custom Notes!

This release is a big one. No digital tool is as flexible as a piece of paper and a pencil, but this release brings my tome much closer <3

– New major feature: Player inventory and custom notes! Find it by double-tapping the potion icon, or pressing it and then the big blue button at the top of the resource tab.

  • This is both magical item support, and notes. Entries in your inventory can be “activated”/equipped and will be added to all lists in the app (martial classes and magic users, and monsters).
  • This supports both standard rules of play magical items, and fully custom ones!
  • You can also just write anything you want, to create a note, such as to rules or information you may want to reference, or to reminders about how you want to improve your gameplay.
  • It comes pre-loaded with all standard rules of play items, and an example note (class color reference).
  • You can multi-select to bulk delete inventory entries, or to export them to the clipboard. You can import exported entries by hitting “new” and then “import from clipboard.”
  • Go explore and try it out, there’s a lot to explain but it makes sense once you see it!

Other new feature:

  • The app has a one-time onboarding popup when you first open it to encourage selecting a font you like, and offering a choice between two standard themes (the default, and the super light mode).

Also…:

  • Peasant has been added to the martial classes.
    • This is not just as a joke, as with the new player inventory/custom notes feature, peasant players can use it, too!
